Is your pregnancy or parenting journey not what you expected or hoped?

Some women feel sad, frustrated, anxious, panicked, heartbroken, traumatized, or simply overwhelmed by their mothering journey.

If your mothering journey is not what you had expected or hoped, you are NOT alone!

Women and Maternal Mental Health

Iris is a very committed and thoughtful therapist. I am so grateful for her insights and help in working through postpartum anxiety. She is the best there is as far as I’m concerned and I recommend her to all my friends moving through transitions to mamahood or who just need some support.

What you are experiencing and feeling happens to many women, and it is not your fault! You don’t have to go through it by yourself. With help, you can be well again.

Postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD’s) are highly treatable! Therapy can help you start feeling like yourself again and help you navigate this challenging time.

The adjustment to parenthood is one of the most significant transitions we go through in our adult life. It is the perfect time to get some extra support.

My Approach

You are not alone.

Over a cup of tea, we can find new ways to navigate through this challenging time together, gaining insights, new perspectives, and new coping tools.

In a warm, supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere, you will have space and time to process the intense emotions that come with your unique maternal experience.

I use several different evidence-based approaches depending on what works best for you: mindfulness and compassion-based, ACT, CBT, and positive psychology modalities.

My Story

Working with women who have a challenging start into their motherhood journey is a passion of mine.

My own mothering journey began when a rescue helicopter flight and subsequent 12-day NICU stay saved my newborn son’s life. Months of lactation challenges and years of medical challenges followed.

My own motherhood journey has been often turbulent, sometimes terrifying, often gratifying, and even exhilarating, but always one of the most meaningful parts of my life.

Having experienced early mothering challenges firsthand, I am now committed to helping other moms through this challenging time.

I want to provide you with the space and support you deserve to hear your labor and delivery story, provide screening and treatment for Postpartum Depression or related Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.

I would love to bring you caring support, competent treatment and any referrals for additional support you might need.
